This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not receive it if you had an allergic reaction to eladocagene exuparvovec-tneq, or if the skull is not mature enough.How to Use This Medicine:
Injectable
- Your doctor will prescribe your dose and schedule. This medicine is injected into the putamen part of the brain using an infusion pump system through a tube placed inside your head.
- A nurse or other health provider will give you this medicine.
Drugs and Foods to Avoid:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
Warnings While Using This Medicine:
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you can get pregnant, your doctor may do tests to make sure you are not pregnant before receiving this medicine.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:
- Complications during procedure, including serious heart or lung problems
- Dyskinesia (uncontrolled sudden movements)
- Do not donate blood, organs, tissues, or cells for transplant after treatment.
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, unusual sweating, lightheadedness or fainting
- Dry mouth, increased thirst, muscle cramps, nausea or vomiting, uneven heartbeat
- Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches
- Jerky muscle movement you cannot control, often in your face, tongue, or jaw
- Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness
If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
- Increased watering of mouth
- Trouble sleeping
