When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not receive it if you had an allergic reaction to pegcetacoplan, or if you have an eye infection or active eye swelling.

How to Use This Medicine:

Injectable

• An eye doctor (ophthalmologist) will give you this medicine as a shot into the eye.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

Warnings While Using This Medicine:

• It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Use an effective form of birth control during treatment with this medicine and for at least 40 days after the last dose.
• Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, or if you have other eye problems.
• This medicine may cause serious eye or vision problems, including a detached retina, endophthalmitis (swelling of the inner eye), eye infection, increased pressure inside your eye, neovascular (wet) AMD, retinal vasculitis, or retinal vascular occlusion.
• This medicine may cause temporary blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until you can see clearly.
• Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
• Bleeding in your eye
• Eye pain or redness, trouble seeing, sensitivity to light, eyelid swelling, blurred or change in vision

If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:

• Floaters (seeing dark spots or lines in your field of vision), increased tearing

If you notice other side effects that you think are caused by this medicine, tell your doctor
