When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to zavegepant.

How to Use This Medicine:

Spray

  • Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to use. Do not use more than directed. Use only when you have a migraine. Do not use this medicine for regular headaches.
  • This medicine is for use only in the nose. Do not get any of it in your eyes or on your skin. If it does get on these areas, rinse it off right away.
  • Use each nasal spray only one time. Do not test spray, prime, or press the plunger before use.
  • Before using the medicine, gently blow your nose to clear the nostrils.
  • Read and follow the patient instructions that come with this medicine. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
  • Keep the bottle tightly closed when not using it. Store at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not refrigerate or freeze.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

  • Some medicines can affect how zavegepant works. Tell your doctor if you are using rifampin.
  • If you are using a cold medicine nasal spray, use it at least 1 hour after using this medicine.

Warnings While Using This Medicine:

  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease or liver disease.
  • Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
  • Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

  • Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:

  • Loss or change in taste
  • Nausea, vomiting
  • Nose discomfort

If you notice other side effects that you think are caused by this medicine, tell your doctor
