When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not receive it if you had an allergic reaction to faricimab-svoa, or if you have an eye infection or active eye swelling.

How to Use This Medicine:

Injectable

  • An ophthalmologist (eye doctor) will give you this medicine as a shot into the eye.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

Warnings While Using This Medicine:

  • It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Use an effective form of birth control to keep from getting pregnant during treatment and for at least 3 months after the last dose.
  • Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
  • This medicine may cause the following problems:
    • Serious eye or vision problems (including eye infection, retinal detachment, or increased pressure in the eye)
    • Increased risk of blood clots, heart attack, or stroke
  • This medicine may cause temporary blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until you can see clearly.
  • Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

  • Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
  • Bleeding in your eye
  • Blurred vision, seeing floating spots, sensitivity to light
  • Chest pain that may spread, trouble breathing, nausea, unusual sweating, faintness
  • Eye pain, swelling, redness, or itching of your eyes or eyelids
  • Irritated, dry, or watery eyes, a feeling that something is in your eyes
  • Numbness or weakness in your arm or leg, or on one side of your body, pain in your lower leg
  • Sudden or severe headache, problems with vision, speech, or walking
