When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not receive it if you had an allergic reaction to pertuzumab, trastuzumab, or hyaluronidase-zzxf, or if you are pregnant.

How to Use This Medicine:

Injectable

• Your doctor will prescribe your exact dose and tell you how often it should be given. This medicine is given as a shot under your skin. It is only given in the thigh.
• You will receive this medicine while you are in a hospital or cancer treatment center. A nurse or other trained health professional will give you this medicine.
• Your doctor may want you stay for at least 15 to 30 minutes after each injection to check for unwanted effects.
• You may also receive other medicines (including allergy medicine, fever medicine, pain medicine) before starting treatment with this medicine to help prevent unwanted effects.
• Missed dose: This medicine needs to be given on a fixed schedule. If you miss a dose, call your doctor, home health caregiver, or treatment clinic for instructions.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

• You should not receive an anthracycline medicine for up to 7 months after stopping treatment with this medicine.

Warnings While Using This Medicine:

• It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. If you are a woman who can bear children, your doctor may give you a pregnancy test before you start receiving this medicine to make sure you are not pregnant. Use an effective form of birth control during treatment and for at least 7 months after the last dose.
• Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, heart disease, or lung disease (including a lung tumor).
• This medicine may cause the following problems:
  • Heart problems, including heart failure, heart rhythm problems, thickening of the heart, or high blood pressure
  • Lung problems, which could be life-threatening
• Medicines used to treat cancer are very strong and can have many side effects. Before receiving this medicine, make sure you understand all the risks and benefits. It is important for you to work closely with your doctor during your treatment.
• This medicine may make you bleed, bruise, or get infections more easily. Take precautions to prevent illness and injury. Wash your hands often.
• Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
• Blurred vision, dizziness, headache, slow, fast, or uneven heartbeat
• Fever, chills, cough, runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, body aches
• Numbness, tingling, or burning pain in your hands, arms, legs, or feet
• Pain, redness, itching, burning, swelling, or a lump under your skin where the shot is given
• Swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet
• Trouble breathing, chest pain or tightness, cold sweat, bluish-colored skin
• Unusual bleeding, bruising, tiredness, or weakness

If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:

• Bone, muscle, or joint pain
• Discoloration of the fingernails or toenails
• Dry skin, rash
• Nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, decreased appetite, change in or loss of taste
• Thinning or loss of hair
• Trouble sleeping
