When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to podofilox.

How to Use This Medicine:

Gel/Jelly, Liquid

  • Use this medicine as directed. Your caregiver should show you how and where to apply the medicine.
  • Use only on the warts. Do not get this medicine on normal skin or in your eyes.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water before and after you use this medicine.
  • Put a small amount of medicine on the warts with the cotton swab that comes with your medicine. Let the medicine dry completely before you let anything touch the treated area. This includes other skin areas, such as the other leg.
  • Throw away the used cotton swab after you apply the medicine.
  • The usual schedule is to use this medicine for 3 days, then to not use it for 4 days. Your doctor might tell you to repeat this cycle for another 3 days on, 4 days off, if the warts are not healed.
  • Do not have sex on the days that you use this medicine.
  • Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Do not freeze.
  • Missed dose:Apply a dose as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and apply a regular dose. Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

Warnings While Using This Medicine:

  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Call your doctor if the warts are not gone after 4 weeks of treatment.
  • Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

  • Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
  • Bleeding, swelling, or severe pain

If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:

  • Mild redness, burning, itching, pain, swelling

If you notice other side effects that you think are caused by this medicine, tell your doctor
